I want to install a 6'x8' plastic shed in my back yard. Instead of a typical concrete or gravel foundation, I'd like to try a plastic base such as those available from Ecobase, UK.

Does anyone know where I can find a product like this here in the States?

Short answer, no. I put an 8x10 plastic shed together for a family member, and it was a pretty flimsy building until it was secured to a concrete slab. I added quite a few more brackets between the walls and the slab, than came with the kit.

If you find a synthetic base, just make sure it's beefy. The base is every bit as important as the rest of the structure.

I put up a 4x8 vinyl shed recently; ditto on the flimsy. :( I build a platform out of treated 2x4s and a sheet of 3/4-inch plywood set on 6 concrete blocks. So far so good.
