I'm getting close to covering my garage with epoxy coat. The threshold for the garage door is a little worn as shown. Do I cover with the epoxy? Use a vinyl door threshold that is glued (construction adhesive) or finish with quikrete quick-setting cement, which can be formed and shaped?

Perhaps you might consider hardening the threshold and leaving it natural. The wear is most likely because the concrete paste is not very strong so rain and wear are slowly removing the top surface. Is the stone finish on the driveway intentional or did that wear away over time too? You can tell by comparing it to any sheltered areas. If it is wearing too then the hardener will stop that as well without altering the appearance and it is very cheap and easy to apply.

Thanks for the reply. The entire driveway is that stone finish. I'm not familiar with the hardening process. Is it a product that I can purchase at one of the local big box stores?
