Gas fitting?? Swivel 90??

So I have an LP gas rangetop installed and operational. But need a different fitting so my drawer/shelves clear the flex line better.

When tightened the standard 1/2” FNPT brass elbow points the wrong direction / towards the front of the cabinet.



What is the right part for a 1/2” FNPT swivel 90? If it exists it can be 1/2” FNPT x 1/2” flared so the flex line screws directly to the elbow.

I would guess they exist but not having much luck on the google machine.

Would not use swivel 90* fitting . Need to check LPG approved or not . House burns down and it’s not approved you will not be on good terms with insurance adjuster . My thoughts are remove the fittings , 2 winds of “ John Crane “ yellow thread tape and tighten the fitting to your needed location . Reinstall the flex , pressurize and leak test . If leaking add another turn and retest . LPG is not a good thing to have a fuzz leak inside of a cabinet

Yeah that is why it is facing the wrong way, I had a leak.

The fitting does have 2-3 wraps of tape and Rectorseal.

No it is a brass ******

Extra wrap of tape on each end of ****** and I believe I have it.
Like most things I was over thinking it.

Rectorseal makes a thread sealant T-2 it has synthetic fibers in it used with yellow teflon tape should do what u want. Comes in a small tube. Put the fitting where u want it then check for leaks.

Looks a bit strange on the inlet side to me but I can not determine by the view .
