Ayuh,.... Unscrew the tank adapter from the hose, 'n plumb the hose to the pipe,...

The hose oughta be 1/4" pipe,..... possibly 3/8" pipe,...

I believe you are refering to a POL fitting on the end of the black hose that screws into the 20 pound lp tank.

I work in the business. Does your heater have a regulator that screws into the tank? Is that regulator high pressure red? The reason this stuff is POL ( put on left ) is so you don't get killed.
The black pipe has to have the correct pressure. If the heater has a high pressure regulator on it you' ll need to do somethin else.
When I install temp heat from a tank to that type of heater I use a LP gas hose with Pol male on the tank and POL female at the heater. Mike

i would use a quick-connect on it. As it will pass inspection a buddy of mine did that on his new house one on every deck for his propane bbq and heater. No gas there so he uses propane 2000gal tank. Inspector wouldent let him have one inside the shop so he put one on the outside the over head door so he can run a house under the door for a heater like yours when the shop is cold.
