My Gas Furnace went out and now wont ignite again. The blower keeps running but just blows cold air. Normally you would hear a click click noise before it would light but there is nothing now... Any suggestions or tips?

The furnace is a Goodman Furnace

Thanks

Clean the flame sensor and check the hot surface igniter for cracks, etc.

Inducer starts, air switch makes, HSI glows, burner lights, blower comes on.
Do you have a multi meter? Unplug HSI, stick probes inside plug coming from the board, reset heater, and test for 110v going to it. If you have it, the HSI is bad. If you don't make sure the inducer motor is good, flue pipe is clear, air switch is making, (if 90+) make sure your condensate line is clear.

I'm not expert but I would check the flame sensor. I have a York furnace about 7 years old and it would do the same as you described. It would get soot on it and I was able to remove it and clean it with a brass wire brush, I eventually replaced it.

Hopefully a HVAC person will chime in.

If the blower runs constantly & the t-stat is NOT set to "fan on", I'd check the fan/limit switch...

Recently I have had several new Lennox units in our houses where the pressure switch for the inducer fan has failed. Unit thinks that the inducer fan is not operating properly and will not progress to the HSI and gas valve opening mode.

Let's start simple. Check and change your filter, not enough air flow will cause problems. Check and clean out anything in the flue, again this will cause problems. Does your furnace have a fault light. It's a red led usually in the blower section. What is it blinking? The process of the furnace is as follows. Inducer fan comes on, about 30 sec later the hsi ingniter blows, flames comes on, main blower runs. Where does this get interrupted?

Well It was the Limit Switch.. A friend of mine came down and he ended up reseting the limit switch?? Does that sound right? What could cause a Limit switch to need reset? This was in my rental house and I have no clue how often them change the filter... they put a brand new one in before I got there so I don't know if that caused any issues. Didn't get to see the old one they took out

There's probably a reason you didn't get to see the old one.

Cheapest first. Check flame sensor. Rub it with steel wool or sandpaper. It worked on mine when I had a similar issue. The a/c guy is a cousin and he didn't charge for doing it
