This was a cheap grill that had been opened. No manual. I belong to lots of car forums and we always say to folks who ask dumb questions, "RTFM".

The only component of my Weber grill that ever failed was the igniter. After the first one died, I installed several more that didn't last long at all. I just use a long butane lighter now.

I've been told that is what fails first. I have some of those lighters. I will keep one readily available.

I bought this propane torch head from HF and have been quite pleased with it to light my gas grill with failed igniters.

The butane pencil lighters just don’t have enough reach for my grill.

Also works great to light the stick burner offset and fire pit.
