Gas line to garage

Hi, I want to run (or have one run) a gas line extension from my crawl space, under or over a 10 foot paver walkway to my detached garage. It could also be run overhead through the breezeway next to the walkway. My concern is that the electrical feed from the back corner of th garage is buried under the paver walkway, hence my thought of going overhead. If that is possible, it could run up the outside of the brick house across the eave of the breezeway and into the garage attic down the wall to the heater. Or, I could go with propane? Any body have input? Oh, I should add that going underground requires crossing over the electric at a right angle.
