Gas Reznor heater installation questions

Finally getting ready to install my 60k btu Reznor UDAS. I'm planning on venting horizontally through the wall and bought the termination kit from Reznor. The instructions call for Category III appliance or single wall 26 gauge or heavier galvanized vent pipe. Is this special pipe? Where did you buy it?

Second question: I've run CSST and am transitioning to black pipe at the end near the heater. Do you all put the union in the vertical drop from the ceiling or in the horizontal leg to the heater? I guess the gas valve goes in the location where the union is not. Seems to make more sense to put the union in the drop from the ceiling (in that it will be a lot simpler to drywall with this disconnected. Do you guys put an escutcheon where the pipe exits the ceiling (or wall)?

Cat III vent pipe is stainless or thicker galvanized. The stainless stuff has high temp gaskets to prevent leaks.

How you dress the wall pierce is important. A "thimble" to go through the wall will be needed as well as specific spacing to the wall and eave or soffit. Pay attention to the slope of the vent pipe so that condensation will run out the vent, not back into the heater.

Thanks! The reznor kit addresses the wall pierce. I will pay particular care to the angle!
