Hey guys-

I'm planning on installing a gas heater before next winter and I've been contemplating where to put it.

I have a 36x48 and I tend to spend most of my time in what could be called the back right corner of the shop. I've got a roughly 20x20 space that I've setup as my main "shop" the and the rest of the garage kinda sees vehicles and other things parked in it.

So, I've been planning on putting my heater in the ceiling opposite the side of the shop I stay on. So, the back left corner and letting it blow toward me in the back right side.

I don't have any experience under one of these, so I was wondering for those of you who have one, does it make a different where you locate it? Would you change your location?

Thinking about something like this:

Good read.

I followed the advice, installing mine aimed 45 degrees out of a corner towards the opposite corner of the shop. I like where it's located and have no regrets.

I had to mount mine in back of my "L" shape 3 car. Wasn't the most ideal place for heating but it's where the gas was and easily vented. A ceiling fan helps a lot
It blows heat a good distance
