Gasket Eliminator Recommendations

Hello all!
I am the Inventory Manager at a Hydraulics Repair Facility and need a product recommendation. We have used Loctite SF790 Gasket Eliminator for years, but it seems like Loctite has discontinued the product. All of our typical vendors don't even show the product anymore. We've recently switched to CRC gasket remover (red can) but the technicians don't seem to like it at all.

Any recommendations of the best one? I saw on a previous forum post to try Wurth Gasket and paint removal spray but I'm open to suggestions and testimonials!

Thanks in advance.

SF790 is a gasket remover and paint stripper. Do you mean 515 or 518 ? Bothe CRC and Permatex make a gasket remover. I typically use a Roloc disc on a small angle grinder.

If you are looking for a gasket maker, try Permatex The Right Stuff.

Have a look at HYLOMAR.

He is looking for a product to soften and help remove old gaskets, not replace them with a sealant alternative.

That was the good methylene chloride product the EPA banned, so it has been bureaucracied out of existence after too many idiots ignored the warning labels/instructions. You're not going to find anything remotely comparable. All the "replacements" are slowwwww and ****. What you could do in minutes now takes multiple days. If speed is your game, some form of physical abrasion is basically the only option.

Thank you everyone for responding so quickly. Just ordered a case of
Wurth Gasket remover
hyloclean
and permatex gasket remover.

once they arrive and the technicians try them out, I'll be sure to post product reviews in the correct forum section
