Just bought one of these :

And now looking at it, it appears the side that has the thumbturn isn't waterproof. Guess it was designed for use on a entry door to a building, so that makes sense.
Any ideas for a keypad locking knob (keyless), that would be weatherproof on both sides? I am considering trying to weatherproof this one...

I was just last week searching for a double cylinder gate lock, obviously weatherproof and with digital or blue tooth function. It's not easy to get all of this in one package that isn't huge.

However, I would not worry a lot about the 'interior' side of that lock not being weatherproof. Put a membrane behind the outside half and let the inside half get wet. It'll work a long time of you put a waterproofing oil on the parts now and then.

Here are shots of the inside lever mechanism/electronics:

Zeke:
Your tip gave me the idea to just seal the inside components. There isn't really much there.
It does look like the inside has only:
- the handle pivot
- a contact switch that indicates if the thumbturn is open
- the 9V battery
- a couple connectors

I can silicone the connectors and lube handle pivot. And grease the switch. Not sure about the battery, but maybe I can do something with that too.
