Hello everyone.
i have a problem with my gate opening in early morning Because of morning dew or fog build up on photo sensor and reflector. What can I do to prevent it. I tried rang fog and rain repellent I’d doesn’t really help.
Thank you.

I had that problem on a commercial gate and ultimately put a different brand / style of photo sensor. I can look up the part # but it will be Friday before I get a chance. Some one else may have a trusty sensor part # for you before then. A good alignment will help, and you coukd try a larger reflector

It’s an issue... Liftmaster for one has even added heaters in some of their photo eyes to combat it, but they don’t work well and are finicky for installers and maintenance.
If it’s an ongoing problem, you could think about swapping your safety devices.? Most operators won’t work without at least one device. You could add safety edge instead of eyes.

We use LiftMaster LC36M, CPS-UN4G, and CPS-OPEN4 for car wash applications. What you're describing shouldn't be a problem for any of these options.

Get a piece of pvc pipe the right size and slip it over the end of the photo sensor and the target. A few inches should keep the dew off.
