I'm in the market for additional storage and I'm pretty impressed with the GatorBuilt 25" deep cabinet from StrictlyToolBoxes advertised here. For the price it looks like a hell of a deal (HF not an option as I want a deeper box). The only concern I have is that most of the drawers are only 1 7/8" high so that precludes plier racks, etc.

Anyone have experience with this box or comments about the shallow drawers? I am keeping my 42"cabinet/box and another smaller box but want to put like things together.

Thanks for your $0.02 worth (todays value = $0.01157)

I've been eyeing that box as well as the GatorBuilt 72" version. I just can't get past the amount of shallow drawers. And StrictlyToolboxes doesn't offer anything deeper with the grip latch feature except for the $3K 72" Montezuma.

I have one, they're labeled as 1.75 but they're more like 2 inch. I'm about to head into work, I'll get some pics for you. Any other questions or pics you want just ask.

Overall I'm happy with the box so far, I've had it a few weeks and my only complaint has been the casters. It rolls well, but the locks are seemingly useless, and it being 6 wheeled if I get on uneven concrete it wants to crab in all directions because it always ends up on the 4 casters. If you're buying it for home and it won't see a ton of rolling, you'll love it.

Thanx Vc for your input. It won't be moving much as I usually load cart with most of what I need for the task of the day
Do you find that many shallow drawers to still be useful?
Glad you like the box as I think for the price I'm ready to go with one as well

Yeah I haven't really had any issues yet. The only thing so far they didn't fit where I wanted was a 4lb dead blow, all my normal hammers fit in that drawer no issue. And I got a rack for my pliers that I had to work things around to make sure I had a deep drawer for it. Other than those I haven't really ran into any issues with the depth. The really deep drawer fits all my blow molded cases vertically no problem. And I set aside the entire bottom drawer for power tools and air line and whatnot.
