Hey there guys (and girls) just wanted to say hello and introduce myself.
Have been lurking on here for a couple of weeks, then actually joined a few days ago. The information and inspiration you all are sharing here is unbelieveable!
While I am not financial enough to replicate some of the awesome garages on this board, I have some big plans for my large carport....I can get 6 cars under there so its a pretty good size. I intend to fully enclose it and then put some decent lighting in to allow for some car restoration.
I currently have a 1967 RHD Type 3 Notchback VW that I am restoring/modifying and we also have a 1964 Beetle that I am building with my 15 year old son for him to use as his first car when it comes time.
Heres a couple of shots (unfortunately you can't see the carport too well, but you can see how wide it is
)
The blue Type 3 in the centre is my Notch that we are restoring/modifying.
The 64 Beetle that we bought for my son. (It has been stored in a barn since 1980! )
I hope to make a thread for my carport/garage area to document what Ive done to it.
Thanks,
Aussie Paul (aka: Scarab)
