Hi guys, found this on the HAMB.....WOW!! This is what I have been looking for. I am into hot rods, muscle cars, hanging around garages and drinking lots of beer. I also collect stuff? My wife calls it sh*t! I call it stock! I love to go swapmeets because thats where all the stock is. Been trying to download some shots for you but it is not happening so I will add some soon.
Regards,
Richard.

Hi all.

Fringe, here is a closer shot of my coke fridge. It was working fine until I moved 2500km, damn removalists dropped one off the juke boxes to. It is probably a minor thing on the fridge, will look at it one day(I am a refrigeration mechanic by trade but I wish I made time instead)
Also I have some coke signs in the garage will get them later.

Funny you should mention the sister thing.....most of my mates wifes all appear to be sisters??? small world hey.
Love the pick up, I have my all steel Model A Tudor in pieces giving it a full rebuild at moment.

What is that white stuff you are growing....looks like it belongs in a drink, say a scotch???

There two more rooms at the back of my in house garage, one is the study and the other my daugthers bedroom. One day if I run out of room I might knock dowm all the walls and make it one big garage? Would fit 6 cars in there easy.

Regards, Richard.

The torana is my daughters car. We bought it of ebay unseen. My daughter and I removed the windows etc, repaired the rust and painted it. While we were at it we installed new carpet, roof lining and all rubbers. The wheels were an ebay item to and came with good tyres for $150.

Good thing about this car is it has a front bench seat, so we can fit 6 people in it legally. Comes in handy for hot rod drop ins.

Andrew,

My daughter has just come off her P plates and has hinted at a small block chev and turbo 350 that she knows I have lying around.(In her dreams I got enough of my own car projects).

I will post some shots of my garage outside tommorrow.

Regards, Richard.

Welcome Richard from another Brisbane import, from Sydney originally. Those car projects are in serious trouble once you start looking around here, some of these sheds are beautiful, you'll want to give yours the time you know it deserves!

Hi guys

Well we have had a break from the rain today so I thought I would get some shots of my outside garage.
The black stuff to the left on the roof is the solar heating for the pool.

Here is a shot of the rear. I have had some earth works done so I can put a 10 foot extention to the length of the shed.

I'm curious about the small yellow trailer in this photo. I kind of looks like an older Escapade trailer. What kind is it?

The trailer is home made. I made this about 11 years ago to take on rod runs and swapmeets. The tow vehicle is a Ford Prefect, so I purchased another Prefect, cut it up and ended up with this. To achive the tear drop look I welded the roof to the front and used the remaining pieces to fill the sides where the door used to be.

I used this combo for my auto electrical business in South Australia for two and a half years. The car has done a zillion miles and is parked in that garage. I built and registered that car 21 years ago and it is still going strong.
In the future I think it will deserve a new coat of paint.

Well guys,

I thought I would give you a closer look inside my garage. Here are a couple more shots.

This is my office, I dont really use it for anything except to store junk and sit in there when it is stinking hot with the airconditioner on.

dads pics 012.jpg

This is the outside of the office.

dads pics 010.jpg

On top of the office is a mezzanine floor. I was thinking of pulling down the office and relocating the mezzanine floor in the 2nd photo to that location. As you can see the stairs and floor are in the lowest pitch of the roof, so moving to the office location will give me maximum clearance.

If you look at the last shot you will see a blue block wall the stairs are attached to. This is the toilet and laundry sink area.

I believe it was made around 1965 in Tasmania, it is 3 phase.

The post with the controls on was the only one with covers. The others had nothing to protect you from moving parts or grease, so I made the shrouds. Dont know if you noticed but the ends of the shrouds are Model T running boards, I was collecting them to make seats but changed my mind. The shrouds are a good place for my stickers...what do you think of them?
