not too bad, but if you need cable ties you can get them free from harbor freight. http://www.hfqpdb.com/best_coupon/8"+CABLE+TIES+PACK+OF+100 and according to project farm on youtube the HF ones are decent quality

The Harbor Freight cable ties are the worst I've ever used. Many, many broke while snugging them up. I ended up throwing the remainder into the trash. Terrible, just terrible. Compare them visually to any other brand and you'll see what I'm talking about. Never again.

Half the ones I picked up from HF were so badly molded that the tail wouldn't go into the slot. My previous batch was only ok, except the black ones were super brittle. Batch before that were great. That's the problem with most of the Chinese/low grade parts: total lack of consistency or quality control. I stick to Panduit cable ties whenever I can. Expensive, but reputable brand and solid consistent quality.

There are really only a couple of GOOD brands of cable ties. Panduit and T&B to start with.

Then again, sometimes cheap "disposable" one have their place.

Years ago ordered ties from Amazon. Everyone would break when tighten. Only name brands now.

I guess HF here gets the shipping container full of the only decent ones. I've used hundreds of them without an issue. Never broke a single one just from tightening them. I mostly have used the 11'' ones and some of the largest they carry(24"?).

They are actually very highly rated in the tests I've seen. They tested better than ones much more expensive. It wouldn't be surprising if they switch between suppliers sometimes because they seem to do that with other products. Here is one of the tests.

I've used these cable ties, there was a deal posted on here several years for some of these cable ties from wayfair. I've been happy with them, none have broke...on my last two bags of the small ones.

I've had hit or miss with cheap cable ties, depends on the usage...and seems with the HF, seems what store they came from.

BTW, Southwire has some pretty darn good cable ties. https://www.lowes.com/pd/Southwire-100-Pack-8-in-Nylon-Mounting-Cable-Ties/1000071547

The Southwires have two lines of locking teeth on the outer edge and holes in the middle for mounting.

Same here. I'm on my second pack of the 11" black ones & they have been working pretty good for me. I had a pack of their shorter length black ones & they sucked, broke very easily when tightening them up.

HF cable ties are awful. Break just snugging them up. Once i found a good supplier for US ties (for pennies a piece), i never fooled with the fakes again. It's not woth it.

For organizing wires under my Jeep dash or under the hood HF zip ties have performed fine. In a crunch several HF zip ties did their job temporarily securing sway bar end links when I ran out of time to install some quick disconnects. The HF zip ties worked out fine under the dash or hood to secure wires so no complaints. IMG_20190603_131439_edit.jpg
