Went and picked up a vintage Craftsman Scrollsaw today. While I was there, the gentleman told me he had a lathe I may be interested in as well. Didnt get to see it as its currently under quite a bit of stuff. But he told me he had a bunch of attachments & said he just needs it out of the way, said he'd prob let it all go for $100.
I've still not seen any pictures, but he said it is a GE Workshop Model 5KH29DA3. I've no idea what shape it is in. He says its been in storage for about 30 years and should work.
I dont know anything about it. It looks like an early ShopSmith type system.
Is anyone familiar with these? Is it worth getting at that price and restoring for regular use? Is worth taking up precious garage space?
