I've used the ratcheting wrenches in an industrial setting for about 6 months. Have no complaints with them so far. Think I got the ones made in Taiwan which are supposed to be the better ones. Have a Gearwrench/SK Tools dealer coming to my shop next week so will be able to say more as time goes on.

I have one Gearwrench screwdriver and don't care for it. I have a complete 1/4" set with 120xp ratchet that's been great. I use the **** out of that set. Then, I have about 8 different sets of ratchet wrenches and except for the larger 13/16" through 1", have not had any real problems. The large 13/16, 7/8, 15/16, and 1" wrenches are reversible and sometimes they lock up, but they're huge, turning huge fasteners. I can't be mad because they do still work. I have had one 16mm strip out on me that I can remember. At the end of the day, Gearwrench makes really good stuff and secured its place in the garage right next to the big guns of the tool world.

I've had mine a few years, full set meteoric And US
. Mine work fine. I take the coward way out and crack the rusted on bolts with a box end or socket if they don't break loose without beating. I guess I would call them the same quality as 80's US Craftsman.

I like their socket rails. I have never broken a clip but spares are available. The sockets stay on the posts. The rails have a little flex but I have not broken one. They come in red for imperial , blue for metric and green for torx, which is international. I used to be a big fan of the MTS rails that are bullet proof, but then I found out they do not work with all brands of sockets.

No issues with the GearWrench screwdrivers I own, though, I haven't used them extensively.

ZERO issue with the GearWrench ratchets, they're phenomenal.

And then, of course, GearWrench wrenches, both several styles of ratcheting and a comprehensive set of their non-ratcheting. Everything GREAT there.

I have them, they work fine for the price. I have ratchets, sockets, wrenches, etc. No issues with them whatsoever.

Overall, I think Gearwrench offers great quality and a decent price if you shop around. You would be hard pressed to find a nicer finished chrome six point socket both inside and out than what Gearwrench offers. The deep knurling on the metric socket bases is really nice for finger spinning and aids in removing the socket from non quick release drive tools.
The Gearwrench comfort grip screwdrivers are pretty comfortable but, the blades seem a little light on steel. My favorite Gearwrench screwdriver are the ones with the hard red plastic handles that kind of resemble the old Proto yellow handled screwdrivers from long ago.
Gearwrench non quick release ratchets are simply outstanding whether in 60 or 84 tooth trim. The flex heads offer unequaled access with their thin ratchet head and crisp ratcheting action. They also offer a wide range of ratchet styles and lengths.
There's only a few things I can think of off the top of my head that I don't care for from Gearwrench. First, their ratcheting flare crowfeet wrenches are simply to huge to be useful to me. Secondly, I don't care for their pliers with the red/black comfort grips. They get slimy & gooey when exposed to certain chemicals like brake clean. I also feel their 45 tooth quick release ratchets **** but, again it's just my opinion.
Although I like my Gearwrench tools, I feel they may have come at too high of a price. It's not that the tools are expensive. No, it's more that to make Gearwench what they are today, cost me some of my favorite US made brands like KD, NAPA Professional, Allen, Craftsman, and others that were killed off to make way for Gearwrench's expansion from a line of ratcheting wrenches into a stand alone line of mechanics tools.:dunno: :(
