Gear Wrench K vs L

I've noticed that some of the gear wrenches i have have a K or an L stamped on them, does anybody know what this specifies? most of the ones that came together had K and the one i bought separately had an L stamped on it, any ideas? (All were new-un-opened, i thought of that as well)

I have an H on my entire set (1/4"-1/2") and when I called to inquire what it was they just told me it was a date stamp, but no true indication of a year. I believe that calling it a "series" stamp is more accurate. The current GW rats end in "P" which is the 120XP series and "F" which indicates their 84 tooth line, but otherwise the model numbers are the same as mine. For example, my 1/2" drive rat is labeled "81304H" (60 tooth), but a "81304P" would mean it was a 120, and a "81304F" would indicate 84 tooth.

Sounds about right. My flex set is all "-K-", except the 10mm I bought Sunday, which is "-M-", and the rest of the set is ~2 years old.

My new Gearbox XL metric Taiwanese wrenches all are stamped M.

My flexes are j and my long pattern combos are h. Idk about.my xxl indexing right off.

Okay, that makes sense! the only one that isn't stamped is the "ace professional" that i got at a pawn shop for a couple bucks. Thank you!
