Gear Wrench Question

I'm Going To By A Set Of Gear Wrenches ,My Question Is Should I Get The Reversable Ones Or The The Ones You Flip Over To Reverse?A Friend Of Mine Has A Set And They Seem To Be Real Handy.Thanks,Doug

Reversible. The worst thing is to get a non and then work the bolt into a spot where you can't get the wrench or the bolt off.

Another vote for reversible! (At least for the commonly used ones, my stubbies are non-reversible)

You can apply whatever muscle you want to them.

Personally, I prefer non-reversible. If you pay attention you won't get yourself in a jam, and the reversible ones end up switching on me all the time and ******* me off.

You need to think through every use of a non-reversable to make sure that won't happen. And most of the time its not even an issue. But a mental lapse at the wrong time, and you'll be trying to figure out how to cut the bolt, wrench or obstical to get it out. And when it does happen, its almost always going to be a dark hard to reach place!

I had that happen once. I was backing out a bolt and hit and obstruction. I was lucky, in my case the obstruction was bolted on and easily removable.

that depends completely on what you're working on and where you're trying to get the wrench in to.

I bought the reversibles first - I like the capstop and the reversible switch, but there's been plenty of times that I've been quite happy that I bought the regular ones, as well.

The best of all, generally speaking, and if you are only going to buy one type are the fex-head non-reversables.
