gear wrench ratchet

So I recently picked up a 3/8 gear wrench ratchet, the 60T version. It looks like a nice tool, feels good, and I like the short arc, but it keeps trying to reverse itself. If you are ratcheting along at a good clip all of a sudden it reverses and you have to flip the lever back. Almost like the switch is to free and when it starts to ratchet it pushes the switch to the other side?

I tried taking it apart and cleaning some fo the oil out, and only lightly relubing it. So far it acts better but haent used it much since then either.

Anybody experience this? Any fixes?

I havent of heard of many people with problems with those

I have three of those, plus one in 1/4 drive. Never had any trouble with them. Sounds like it's it's a defect, Gearwrench will replace it.
