Looking for a mobile tall metal cabinet for storage in my garage, I could use 3 of them if they are 30" wide.

I was looking at the gearbox tall cabinet :

But it says they only hold 50lbs per shelf or 300lbs in total? That sounds like a weak rating. Can anyone with these tall cabinets confirm they can safely hold more weight?

Or maybe I can go with something like this, as it says they hold 200lbs per shelf.

I have search craigslist here in southern California but everything seems overpriced for used vs. new.

Thanks for any and all help!

I have a Black and Decker one that is very similar without the fancy doors or wheels. The shelves don't hold close to what they say for an extended period of time. My shelves are all bowed and falling down. This summer I will reinforce them. I suppose if you beef up the shelving sport from the get go it would be great. Mine was only $20 at depot a few years back.

Wanted to bump this to the top, still looking for a response from someone with the welded tall cabinet, do they hold more then 50lbs per shelf or 300lbs a cabinet?

I have three of them, I personally wouldn't put more than the recommended weight on them as the shelves are somewhat thin. I keep the heavy stuff on the bottom. Besides that they are great units at a good price, check one out at your local sears store to see if it'll work for you.

If you have a sam's club near you, you might check out the seville cabinet on wheels that they have in their stores I have two of those and they are great.

Those look nice. I have an email into their support team as their website says 150lbs per shelf, however some of the reviewers on sams club site says 80lbs per shelf?

I asked Seville Classics to confirm.
