I finally pulled the trigger and ordered product for my garage floor with Justin late day on Monday. I came home at lunch Thursday to find a pallet full of primer, epoxy and clear coat. The fun will begin next week and I hope to be looking at a new floor this time next week.....I will be sure to post pictures as the fun unfolds and I'm sure I will have lots of questions during the process.

That's great! Updating with posts really helps other people looking to put epoxy down for their own garage's as well.

Prepping all day Thursday and planning on Friday and Saturday for primer, epoxy, flake and clear coats. There will be 2 of us working a 1200 square foot area.

Would love to see how it goes for you. What is the condition of your garage floor, new concrete or older? I have an older floor that needs some repair so hoping to find a thread to show me how others overcame repairs.

Concrete is about 2 months old (new construction).

Spent the better part of Thursday grinding my floor, at 4000 psi I knew it would be tough. We got the primer coat (clear) down late in the day. This morning we were able to put our base coat down and flake the floor. I plan on cleaning excess flakes in the morning and then applying two coats of clear. I will post more photos tomorrow.uploadfromtaptalk1440195886502.jpguploadfromtaptalk1440195921623.jpguploadfromtaptalk1440195942280.jpguploadfromtaptalk1440195969954.jpguploadfromtaptalk1440195982796.jpg

I spent the better part of Saurday morning cleaning the excess flakes from my garage. I then broke my garage down into what seemed like manageable sections for the two coats of clear.

I had one guy mixing, one cutting in and one rolling. It didn't seem like there was enough clear in each batch to adequately cover the section with a squeegee so we went with a roller.

From everything I read and everything I was told I knew the clear would have to be worked quickly.

While all areas of the floor seemed to be adequately covered, In the end result I was left with roller marks and shadowing. Areas where we applied ribbons of clear to the floor set up extremely fast and are noticeably thicker with material.

Overall I am very happy with the product we received and I think I will live with the imperfections for now,uploadfromtaptalk1440354461544.jpguploadfromtaptalk1440354488836.jpg

I don't notice any imperfections from the pictures, the whole floor looks exceptionally good to me. Since you know the imperfections are there, I wonder, would another coat of clear help to hide the imperfections?

Thank you - its hard to see them in the photos but I will probably scuff and re-clear the floor at a later time (when its not so humid). Overall I'm very happy with the end result and the few imperfections are certainly outweighed by the majority of the floor.

At this point I'm just going to enjoy the space and continue on finishing the construction.
