Gearwrench 120xp extra long universal spline wrenches...already broken

Dangit! Had the 120Xp extra long metric universal wrenches less than a month and a half. used them maybe 10-15 times. dropped the 12mm one (part 86112) from table height, damn ratchet mechanism broke!
Now no gear wrench distributors in the area can get me just that one wrench as a replacement...
Frig i have cheap ratchets and name brand ratchets that i drop almost daily, never any issues. did i get a bad batch that aren't hardened or something??
Considering buying one on amazon and sending back the old one. Says the vendor is GearWrench directly..

Probably dislodged pawls or something.
gearwrench not what it was and lot of offbrand taiwan will actually be better for same or less money .
Do whatever it takes get a replacement .

Took me 2 weeks to decide which of these extr along ratchet head wrenches to buy. looks like Amazon is the way to go. good ot see its gearwrench is the vendor.
Really wanted that super long flex head ratchet deal, the slim profile is very nice, some of the other brand have larger socket ends which just wont fit in some of the areas im working in.

Yes they nice slender head but that 120 pawl setup is trouble .
Would of been good if had used a clip so could of serviced them

I know its a hassle but just call gearwrench and they will send u label through email. Send it in and in 3 or 4 weeks they will send u a new one.....inconvenient as heck but they will stand behind that warranty

If you are saying you would buy a new replacement from Amazon and return the old in lieu of warranty you might want to reconsider. One, it is not drop shipped from Gearwrench, but from an Amazon warehouse. So when Amazon gets the return and it is a busted up used wrench they will not refund you money. Two, your Amazon account will be flagged. This will not be going back to Gearwrench to some shipping receiving guy that just says oh well and puts it in the round file cabinet. Best case from the above is you bought a new wrench and Amazon charges you for return shipping. If you are OK with that then proceed. I wouldn't expect your problem to go away.

Give Gearwrench a call. When I broke one I called and the very helpful CS girl told me that if I could not get a local replacement to call her back and she would take care of it. I believe she told me this so as to not have to wait for the replacement to arrive.

Mine have been fine, and have held up to some reasonable abuse.
