I have never ordered from these guys but, I stumbled upon them looking for something else.

www.trident-supply.com

They are having a Gearwrench Father's Day special promotion on many of their 120xp ratchets. The prices are supposed to be 60% off with free shipping on many items.

The prices seemed good to me on the 120xp ratchets. I'd give them a shot if you're looking for a 120xp ratchet.

Thanks for the heads up, I've been wanting to try one of these 120xp ratchets. Ordered the teardrop 1/4 and stubby 3/8.

i ordered the 120xp set with the 1/4 3/8 and 1/2 ratchets about 3 weeks ago and had to send em back. the 3/8 was ok. i didnt get to use the 1/4 but the 1/2 started switching on me the first time i used it. worked with them for a couple days and the performance of the 1/2" was enough for me to send them back. im just gonna go with something single pawl. just my .02.

free shipping > $25 and tax in TX. just bought the two sets. $55 cheaper than Amazon price for the 2 sets.

I've never had a problem with them. got them since they were released. plus, whenever I've had problems with anything gearwrench, I make a phone call and a new replacement comes in the mail.

Thanks Fed. Ive been wanting to find some kind of excuse to pick up a 120xp. Good thing I can always count on GJ to help feed the habit - ordered a 3/8 flex stubby.

That is about the same price as tooldiscounter's regular price, but with free shipping (so you save $10). I live right next to their warehouse so I can just pick things up and not pay shipping :)

Cool, I've been wanting to grab a 3/8 stubby flex to round out my pile. My other GW ratchets aren't 120's so it will be nice to check out the new tooth count.
I haven't kept up with the info on these but can the guts be swapped out to the 84 tooth models? If so I may trade them out of this new stubby to my longer cushion grip flex head where the tooth count may be a little more useful.

Thanks for posting Fed.

Do the 120xp ratchets have a lot of drag on them? I like very little resistance when using a ratchet, so high drag is a deal breaker for me.

Man wish they carried the 3/8 non flex head stubby ratchet!
Looks like they only have the flex head version.

Thanks for the info. I've been looking for some inexpensive fine-tooth flex head ratchets. I went for the full-polish, although the cushion grip look tempting too.

The cushion grips are a little longer (~2") and I already have some 60T cushion grips and found I like them from a comfort standpoint, just not as easy to keep clean.
GW does not stock replacement handles like SnapOn, they told me to just use them until they wear out and warranty the entire wrench although I'm sure they will last a while.

Hello Everyone! My name is Mike with Trident Supply. I just now found GJ and want to say thank you for your business. I found out about GJ after I noticed a few sales originated from here.

DirtRoad: Regarding your question, we do carry a 3/8" stubby non-flex. I just added it to the site for you. It is HERE, of course, free shipping on orders over $25 this week. Also, we will always have free shipping, but the dollar value may change depending on what promo we have going on.

We are still adding products every single day (about 200 get added every day), so, if there is something that you want, but don't see, let us know and we can get it listed for you.

FINALLY,while it is not GearWrench, I do have this awesome looking large Powermatic metal sign that I just received and I want to give away to a customer. I am just sure how I should go about finding the right person. Any suggestions from the mods?

what phone number do you call?

Hey Chad, I think I MAY be able to warranty items that were not purchased from me with my rep... As long as it is reasonable, he will probably be fine with it. You can give us a call at 972-961-4656. If you want to contact GW directly, their number is: 1-800-688-8949.

You can call 888-757-1812 for warranty replacement. I just did about 10 minutes ago about a broken wobble extension. They give you an RA# and you just ship it back to them.

they don't swap well with the older 84t and 60t systems because the main gear is a bit thicker.

what phone number do you call?

I call the number on this page: http://www.gearwrench.com/contact_us.jsp

800-688-8949

Keep in mind, some people have had bad experiences with their support, mostly attributed to some "lady"... but when i don't get her on the phone, warranty is a breeze. when i do get her, just be polite but persistent and she usually gives in and send out a replacement part. i've never been asked to mail back the broken tool, though I'd be happy to do so.

Mike, glad to have you here on GJ! I just placed my order last night as I didn't want to miss out on the sale. I should've waited because I too was looking for that 3/8 stubby non flex. Oh well, I purchased the flex version and will have to work with that for now. Thanks for the quick shipping and great customer service.

Hey Mike,

I prefer using PayPal when ordering anything online. Do you accept it? I don't see it listed as a payment option on your site.

Thanks

Hey Mike, is there a phone number we can call you directly? I'm not fond of online ordering, kinda old fashioned. Maybe there's be a way for you to extend them offerings to GJ after the sale is over for those who don't have the cash atm?

I know another big hit here from gear wrench are ratchet wrenches and flex sockets along with mid depth sockets.

I don't have any real needs for any tolls right now even if I could buy, but those would be great offerings.

Future I would like to try a cushion grip 120xp In 3/8. What's the length on them?
