I just picked up a set of reversible gear wrenchs at Advance auto parts for $29 it is the 8 piece set either SAE or Metric.... They were on the shelf for $59.99 But there was a sign on the door that said 50% off them.

They also had the 4 pack of regular gear wrenches on sale for $15.

FYI, these are quasi-lobster claw. The smaller sizes are sort of lobster clawed, and the larger sizes are simply wider and thicker than older version. The larger sizes are not noticeable with out a direct comparison, but the smaller sizes are obvious; especially the 8mm and 5/16".

Thick so it don't snap (too much).

No big deal unless space is an issue. If space is that much of an issue you should probably use a socket anyway.

I just returned a Craftsman 26 pc set last week because of this same reason. Luckily they had a USA set sitting there covered in dust and I swapped them out. Lesson learned: when you order on line and pick up in store check COO against shelf stock before leaving.

I got the 8 piece metric reversible set a few weeks ago and they are China made. However for $30 they are great and the reversible switch makes it SOOOOOO much better than the flip over to reverse types. Im not a pro, but for $30, these are a fantastic buy and I used them very much over the last couple of weekends doing some projects at home. No complaints on my end.

I think I read that the Menard's ones are different than the GW ones mentioned in this thread.

Ya, the Menards ones are not reversible. They are the cheaper flip model.
