I'm not used to using this forum so I hope I'm in line with the protocol.

NAPA has at least two sets of metric ratcheting wrench sets in their monthly specials. I ordered a seven piece flex set. Fifty three bucks to my mailbox after taxes. There is a five piece non flex for around twenty.

How do you like the wrenches?

I have a ratcheting non flex head set that I bought a few years ago. With regards to the ratcheting aspect... I tend to grab them over my non ratcheting craftsman set. They have been great for me and reliable. The ratcheting aspect is the best part. The con is the ratcheting head is not as small/thin as a regular set of wrenches so it can’t get in as many tight spots but it has rarely been a problem for me wrenching on my own cars and motorcycles unless I’m working on carbs in which I would grab my specific ultra small/thin wrenches anyways. As far as quality goes, the gear wrench set I have is nice, full polished and has stood up home mechanic use. I tend to use them to tighten stuff down real tight and haven’t broken the ratcheting side.

With that said, I’m curious to hear feedback on flexhead vs regular wrenches.

The flex are very useful, but the reversing style seem the most versatile.

This is a situation where having multiple ratcheting wrenches in different configurations and lengths is very justified.

Too many busted knuckles for me, I've learned my lesson.

LOCKING flex head from now on. Worth the upcharge.
