My brother asked me to find him a gearwrench set since he needs them to redo the lines on his old 2000 ram 1500. I've come across a few sets but can't really find too much info on them

Ran across 41880D which seems to be able to do both bubble and double flares. for around $80 bucks

Also came across GearWrench Master Tubing Service Kit 41590D for $56 from ZORO and pretty much 80 anywhere else.. I can't really find much info on what comes with it. I think This would be a better buy and pick up the dies and clamp for what is not included if they sell them separately.

Why Gearwrench? For that money, you can get a BluePoint kit or any of the other American made products. I've never had good luck with imported brake line tools of this style.

Master cool brake flaring set is the way to go if you have the extra cash. I work on a fleet of 90 school buses up in Canada ,on the salty winter roads and that set saves me a lot of time.

no idea why he picked gearwrench just what he asked me to find for him. Think he just wanted a kit that had everything in one case or something and I guess that's what his Cornwell or Matco guy tried to sell him. Works in a body shop so stuff like that would get new lines, no real reason to own the tool except for his own projects.

FWIW, I ended up with a nice Ridgid on ebay for not too much money. I had to do the lines on the car last year.
