I have the three pc hose clamp version and they are fine, mine are China though. Way back when, I scored the Crescent double X pliers (also China) from Sears for $20 though and havent had any issues. I see they are on sale here for $25 right now. The only complaint I can speak of is the handle color shows dirt easily.

There are good!

Not the worlds best pliers (they don't squeeze very hard because of the double-x design, but they are great for tight places for every job I've had to use them for-picking up dropped items, grabbing wires, moving small pieces around etc), but I like them!

I've got the Crescent double X pliers and have had them for more than a year and a half and haven't had any issues with them. You can get them cheap too from Sears online at various times throughout the year.

Decent set of pliers but they sure seem develop rust faster than any bare steel pliers I have. Just have to occasional wipe them down with a good rust preventative gun oil if you want to keep the rust at bay.

you can get the set branded "napa" from cripe for $12

crescent, gearwrench, napa all appear to come out of the same chinese plant

I know the shipping for cripe on ebay for these is like $12.50, their website is down right now but may be cheaper, at that price, it would pay to load up on a few of their other items, some good prices can be had here

here's their ebay link, but check the link above to their website first, sometimes the shipping is cheaper there

I like this guy. Buy more tools so you can combine shipping and save! If there's one thing GJ has taught me; it's that you never have enough tools.

I've got the Napa's. Theyare decent enough for what they do/are, but they are not really super special. Handy to have, especially the bent nose version.

I also have a set of the snap-ring version and the seem decent enough as well.

Definitely agree about the rust
