They aren't the same if the USA ones are still on the shelves, the Gearwrench ones are probably better than the USA Cman. (I have the Cman too)

Thanks, that's what I was hoping to hear. They seem like a pretty good deal.

Be sure to search around the internet for coupon codes before purchasing. There was a 30% off coupon I found on google not too long ago to purchase a couple of socket sets.

That code was TRT30. Appears to still be valid. Brings the price down to 27.99.

I would say they are a very good deal. I got mine buy one get one through tool rage, these deals com up periodically throughout the year. My 18mm has seen some high torque on rusty bumper bolts.

I think the code TRT41 which is a $40 off $100 is still valid. you could get the SAE and metric set and then some other GW stuff to get your $100.

I have that exact same set.....also from Advance Auto. I use them occasionally & have had zero problems with them. They always work great and the rail that they come on is the hard plastic variety with heavy duty posts.

Definitely 100% worth the money.....especially when you use a coupon code online and select in-store pick up. Right @ $30 out the door after tax.

Worth the money. I also bought them from advance auto to do an intake manifold job. So far no problems with them.

I opted for the SAE, Metric, and a set of screwdrivers. If nothing else the price was right on all. Have yet to pick them up on account of weather. We'll see how it works out tomorrow.

I use them day in and day out. Both the metric and SAE.

They are great wrenches. I will say that the 1/2" and 9/16" get replaced about once a year due to wearing out.

There is a $15 off $50 online purchase today on the web site given in the first post. Good til Feb. 8. Haven't had time to look at the fine print yet. Also free shipping if ordered online.

These seem pretty decent. I also just grabbed a set (sae and metric) from Advance using the $30 off $75 online coupon. Added a cheapo vise grip to hit the $75, but walked out of the store with it all for under $50.

I got a set of each from advance in store. The metrics had two 15mm and no 16mm. The package had no cellophane on it so it may have been a customer stealing the 16 or something but i'd look at them before you leave the parking lot.

So, can we use the online coupon in the store....

And if so, do we need to print it out from online or just have the number?

you have to order online and select in-store pickup. they won't do coupons in store directly anymore.

Swivel set is probably a better idea if you want them to last. I've had issues with some jointed stuff (nothing great) but never a problem with swivels. It would be great if they worked like advertised but I think besides truck brands they will always be a problem, for me at least.

Light torque work=sure; over 50 ft/lbs I'd be ultra careful and use heat+penetrating oil. The last joint I snapped was on a 65 ft/lb bolt that I did heat/oil.:bounce:

Picked them up today. Seem pretty decent. Cost considered, they're damn nice.

Also picked up the 8 piece screwdrivers. They seem ok, too, for $15. Taiwan made. Wish they came with a #3 Phillips.

Picked mine up, too. I ordered both the SAE and metric sets, delivered to store to save shipping cost. I opted for the 30% off code, $52 plus tax.

And I am pleased with them. They seem quite well-made and will last me a long time. For the price, can't be beat.
