In a moment of weakness, I just purchased the long pattern set from Amazon for stupid cheap. Yup, made in China for sure. Very nice wrenches though, I must say.

I LOVE my Gearwrench longpattern set, amazing in comparison with my USA Craftsman RP set.

However, I never explicitly looked for a COO on them, since they are obviously not made in the USA

Alright thanks fellas...kind of what I thought. Guess they're some of the nicer Asian pieces...

Yes, they are. They have good balance and feel. The chrome is good although it varies sometimes. The wrenches have off corner engagement on the boxed ends and a modified open end similiar to Matco's optitorque. The extra length is very handy. I have an older metric set in my service call box that has performed well. Shop around though as there is a wide price gap on the same sets.

They are good but not great. I have had them for about 5 years. I went back to pro wrenching and have since bought flank drive plus wrenches. The gearwrench are good backups. When you need 2 of the same size. They spread when really pushed. They were a cut above the 90 era raised panel wrenches they replaced.

Does gearwrench make those GM branded wrenches that O'Reilly sells? Local store had em on sale and I figure they might be worth picking up.

I have a wrench fetish and they can go in the ever growing back-up pile :D.

NO, Gearwrench don't NOT make the GM Goodwrench/performance parts wrenches. Being Taiwan made, I'm not 100% sure who they are "made" by, but you warranty them through Blackhawk/proto. When I got mine, I googled the warranty address on the back of the package and it came up the same as blackhawk/proto. So my guess is they are re-branded blackhawk. (they look alot a like and are priced about the same as well)

BTW: I have a lightly used GM Preformance parts, 14pc set (7-SAE/7-Metric) for sale for $45. They are only a few months old and only used a handful of times. If your interested, PM me.

I have a set, they are snap on copies and are chinese made, my only complaint is the soft metal, when I cheater wrench them, it leaves a divet/dent in the wrench
