I have absolutely no use for those, yet I'm still struggling to fight an urge to buy them. :willy_nil

I had no use for them either but I purchased both sets anyway. Glad that I made the purchase; really nice wrenches for the money. They even come in a nice tool roll. You can't go wrong for the price.

Who knows?
Thanks for the opportunity OP, but I think I'll pass. They are nice, but I think I've got a couple hundred really old US made ones floating around that I have never used.

Purchased the SAE DOE a week or so ago. For the price can't complain a whole lot. They are china. Kind of flimsy. Huge open ends compared to a quality wrench. Bought them to be cut up and used as needed. Don't expect a whole lot.

Well, I thought it was a decent price even if they have a limited use.

I Used to have some double open ended Craftsman wrenches and I used them occasionally. I have been happy with the other Gearwrench products I have purchased so I figured what the hell, I'll give them a try.

I don't have those Craftsman wrenches anymore, I don't have much of any tools left anymore, so I am building my tool collection back up.

I just bought the metric and SAE sets. I really probably didn't need them but there are times that style wrench is really handy. Also picked up the extra long screw driver set. Another tool that is only appreciated when you really need it!

The SAE set for $15 has larger sizes than you might expect.

The largest wrench has 1-1/4" and 1-1/8".

The others are every size from 4/16" to 16/16" (yes, 1/4" to 1") in 1/16" increments. Except they skip 7/8". Which I encounter far more often than 15/16", since it is essentially 22mm.

First of all, who is that chick in your sig. Second, who is that chick in your sig.
According to a Google reverse image search, the name of the model in the sig is Levy Tran. She has a lot of tattoos, so I'm thinking the avatar is a different model.

On topic: those wrenches look really nice and they are cheap. I just don't have a good use for them.

Does the tool roll they come with have any extra slots or just 6 or 7 slots depending on how which set you purchase ?

Probably sick of having to replace all those rings from the guys that use them to break bolts so they're like here: "use the damn open ends we'll give you them for near free bros".

In my mind this is the only reason for gearwrench to even offer non ratcheting wrenches (though I know they offer combos without ratcheting mechs but straight up open ends is kind of funny). Gearwrench is begging you guys to please use the open ends!

I've been trying to come up with a reason to buy these for a few weeks now. At some point you have to draw a line somewhere, even if it is a really good deal. I just can't see sufficient use for them.

Buying something you don't need, even it it's a smoking deal, is actually a very bad deal. If you don't need it, you're just throwing money away. It's much worse than overpaying for something that you need, in my opinion.
