i am looking either of gearwrench flex ratchet as 1/4drive OR armstrong MAXX flex locking ratchet as 1/4 drive??

I just ordered a Armstrong Maxx 10-994 and 11-994.

I m not sure how I'm going to like them, if I don't like them. I believe the 10-994 is exactly what you're looking for. I will post it up in the classifieds if so.

The 1/4" Armstrong Flex (10-994) came in today and It rocks!

It does have the same ratcheting feel as the Thin-Profile Craftsman(Same internals), but much less play and the locking flex is easy to use w/o any slop while locked.

Needless to say, I am keeping it and I say just pick one up if you afford to.

can you give me more detail about that? how much for it? how long of ratchet?

i am not sure if should i go for armstrong or gearwrench?? i knew both are from danaher company but i am more favor of USA made ratchet but depend on price as i want to have one for my garage...

I would say Armstrong for sure, USA made and not to mention pretty damn cool looking too

Also Gearwrench does not offer any locking flex models so Armstrong wins there as well.

The Armstrong is 6.5" Long and is very slim. the lock works beautifully and the action is smooth. I have a Snap-On THR72 and this is about as smooth as it and slimmer at the same time.

I picked mine up from ToolTopia for $45 + Shipping. I bought mine with a 3/8" version as well so I got free shipping. They have a warehouse in Ft. Wayne Indiana and they ship FedEx ground so you would have it quick.

I also attached a screenshot of the item shipped to Indianapolis.

Yes, Matco dealers can get Armstrong stuff and there would be no shipping. But you might pay more in the price difference than you would on shipping.

But if you like your Matco guy and he appreciates your business then by all means go through him. Plus it will be much easier to warranty it that way if the need arises.

That is true about warranty.. Is those Armstrong use 60 teeth not 88 teeth?

Yes, they are 60T but I've handled both and have not seen the need for more.

You can directly drop in the Matco 88T rebuild kit(afr8tk) if you really wanted the 88T feel.
