Decided it was time to join the gearwrench fan club.
Got these for $80.
Hope that was a decent deal?
I couldn't find the 10pc set online.

Actually got them on the BAY.
$79 +$8shipping but had a coupon for over $8 off so really it was free shipping.
I did check and these are the ones that have the 14MM......I know some of the sets didn't.

I have both types, and actually love the capstop. Too bad they only came on limited sizes.

Must be some old stock so they may be the capstop type.......I have seen those and I would think they would be

Your right in the ball park for the typical 50% deals that Sears consistently has on these sets; I think you did fine! As a matter of fact; you paid what usually the 8 piece wrench sets at Sears go for; so, I think you did even better! Enjoy your Gearwrenches! You will be buying more... check out the flex heads and stubbies... next! Sears has the 50% off Gearwrench deals from time to time; keep your eyes peeled!

I have to drop that comment as well- I don't know how I lived without my gearwrenches for so long. They really make a lot of sense. I can't count the ways, but they work. That's it.

Guess I'm the only one that doesn't like GW or even ratcheting wrenches. Still, I must say that you got a good deal there.

I have had the Gearwrench non-reverse flex combo wrenches for over a year and have been very happy with them. Got them at the holiday sales at Sears.

I just bought some Gearwrench 3/8 deep metric sockets at Advanced Auto. The Sears retail stores in my area don't carry the Gearwrench sockets. And the only deep 3/8 metrics Sears had were laser etched only, no stamped size markings

Advanced had the same 14 pc 3/8" 6mm-19mm 6pt deep set Sears sells on-line for $70 for $34.99 and that's their regular price. Advanced also has the 1/2" 10 pc deep 12pt metric set 10-19mm 12 for 39.99. And they come with a very nice 14" rail.

I may still go with Craftsman for the 1/2 deeps, just to maintain the trade balance. But that would be the only reason. Gearwrench sockets are very nice and that free rail is killer!

You know it's weird, I like the Gearwrenches but I still use the old style laminates as well.

The really weird part is that I use my stubbies ten times or even more oftener then the standards. I still haven't figured out why.

i have had my gear wrenches since they came out. i think they are great. you did good on that deal.

I have a set of them... was frusterated after the fact of buying them... they were missing several of the ones I needed.... ended up buying individuals to complete set from 8-19mm... I have had them about 1 year now... replaced the 15mm 4 times(thankfuly warrentied)... more recently bought Blue Points offset reversibles.... much better tool yes more expensive than gearwrench... still same quality as snap on flank drive but much cheaper..

That's a pretty good deal even at $80.

Not to brag or anything but I got the exact same two sets, 10 pc metric and 10 pc SAE both for $50 total on Black Friday 2007 with a $10 off Sears coupon. I've pieced a couple sizes in individually over time though.

I'm not much of a Black Friday person but that price was an deal-breaker for me and I'm glad I did it.
