I was in Sears and they had the holiday displays out. Lots more Gearwrench stuff, but still not as much as at Advanced Auto.

Anyway, I was looking at the sockets and the size marking seem pretty nice. They are not laser etched, which some don't like, but the text size is much larger and easier to read. The SAE are in a hexagon IIRC, while the metrics are stamped inside a circle. Also, the knurling on the base of the sockets looks like it would provide pretty good grip.

And your question is ______________?
I got the point of the thread - it's to comment on how bchee appreciates Gearwrench's socket marking methods. But since you want a question, I found one in bchee's post.

I was out of town earlier this week dissassembling some factory equipment we purchased and forgot to take along a 1/2 drive socket set, so I picked up a GW set at Advanced Auto - not too bad and the one thing that I really noticed were the nice big size markings - very nice.
