I am thinking about getting some gearwrench stubby ratcheting wrenches
8,10,12MM.
Have you guys had any issues with ratcheting stubby with clearance compared to non-ratcheting? I would think the ratcheting would be better, but I would like to ask your input.

Do the gearwrench stubby ratcheting have the 120 tooth count?

I have the regular stubby Gearwrench ratchet wrenches and while I don't know how many teeth they have, (def not 120) they work great. They're generally the same length as normal stubby wrenches, but the box end is bigger due to the mechanism. 9 times out of 10 the Gearwrench work just fine.

Stubby gear wrenches have 72 teeth.

As I write this, there isn't a 120 tooth stubby version.

As for clearance, it depends on what you're working on. Off of the top of my head, without measuring, because I'm too lazy to get a wrench, I would say the ratcheting boxed end is close to 1/4 of an inch fatter than a regular boxed end :dunno:

As someone else mentioned the reversible stubby ratcheting wrenches from Blackhawk are very nice.

My favorite stubbies, are Gearwrench flex head stubby ratcheting wrenches.

Who keeps gear wrench on the shelf rather than buying online? Do Home Depot?

Awesome, thanks!
Any idea if the 20% off promo code they list at the top of their page works in store or is it just online?
Their website doesn't work too well for browsing everything and shopping on a phone prior to collecting.
