There are a couple on Facebook,Nathen Arnold and Nick Morello III from New Jersey.Nathen Arnold used to be a Snap On dealer before he became a Gearwrench dealer. They ship out and are pretty good with the shipping

I don't know about Nathen Arnold, but Nick Morello's prices are a complete rip off. I got banned from his group the other day because he was posting "flash deals" or "hot deals" or something and someone started asking questions. I posted a link to Amazon that answered his question, but just happened to be over $20 cheaper on the exact same item. This was a sub $100 item, so it's not like they were $20 cheaper on $500 tool.

I noticed this with anything he posted. You could almost always find it on Amazon for 20-40% cheaper. Not sure why anyone would buy from this guy for these prices, not to mention after seeing his reaction to me answering the guys question with a link to Amazon, I strongly suspect if you ever have an issue that you would get much better service from Amazon.

The other issue as far a tool truck is that it's my understanding that these guys don't offer financing, only layaway. My friends that are mechanics rely on credit from the tool trucks to buy tools and say that is often the only reason they are willing to pay more for re-branded items than they would online. So if the prices are higher, but you still don't offer the benefit of credit, you really have no advantage that I can see.

It's marked up on the truck just like snap on or any other. Guy comes to you when you need him. You pay for the service not what the tool is worth.

Except for you don't get the advantage of credit like you would from the other tool truck guys. In the cases of Nick and Nathen selling online, you also don't get the guy "coming to you" when you need it. Although I do agree that local guys get this.

Although, you could also buy them from Advance Auto Parts (they also sell Gearwrench) at a fraction of the price. They then deliver them to most shops whenever you call. You don't have to wait for the tool truck guy to come around next week to warranty it. You just give Advance a call and they are there in an hour to bring you a new one and pick the old one up. All for significantly less than these Gearwrench tool trucks.

Honestly, I guess it just comes down to the fact that I'm a lot cheaper than the guys that buy from these dealers. I prefer to get the best value for the money and use the extra cash to save for my retirement.

There's no reason to buy from a tool truck independent or corporate unless they offer you interest free pay while you earn credit and excellent truck to your bay service:wtf:

It's the service they're supposed to offer and convenience that makes their prices worth paying. Otherwise, the internet offers you everything you'll need and more. :dunno:

Considered bad form to go into someones place of business either online or in person if brick and mortar and show where something is cheaper somewhere else. While I think you did not mean it linking to the Amazon review, I can see where he would take offense and ban you over it.

Well, It wasn't really his place of business. I'd know better than to go on his personal page and post links to other businesses. This page was a Snap On/Matco/etc. buy/sell/trade Facebook group. So 99% of it is other people posting their used tools for sale. He just randomly posts items on it which he tries to make sound like a "deal". Turns out he is also one of the admins on this page though.
