I have not broken any of my Gearwrench tools yet but has anyone here ever warrantied a Gearwrench tool? How is the Warranty? I bought a ratcher set from Asvanced Auto. I was told that if any Gearwrench tool broke Advanced Auto would replace tool with a recipte the first time only. If tool broke again I would have to mail it to Gearwrench for warranty.

Not sure about that one. Sears I believe will also warranty. I only have a 1/4 soft grip but really like it and would like some rotos

I haven't warrantied anything recently. I did warranty a defective wrench right out ofthe plastic by calling their 1-800 number. They mailed me a new wrench no questions asked. I know their have been more recent threads about going to napa, sears, or fastenal for warranty service but, if I had a problem, I think i would call gearwrench first on the number on their website.

I returned an entire set of Torx bit sockets to them via mail. They sent me a new set. It was pretty painless. As the previous poster said, if Sears carries the tool then you can get a replacement there, too.

Any auto parts stores selling Gearwrench will warranty them too.The nearest Auto Value auto parts store in my area will warranty them,they sell gearwrench.My Matco tool distribitor will replace them under warranty since Gearwrench is owned by Danaher.

According to the catolog I just got. You can return it to any Gearwrench distributor or ship to Apex tool group in Sparks MD.

Aound here Fastenal is where me & my brother take Gearwrench & Armstrong stuff to get warrantied.

I'm starting to buy more Gearwrench too. I love their flare nut wrench set. For something that's made in Taiwan, it sure feels good and heavy in my hands. Definitely a top source for Taiwan tools.

good to know i gotta ask my so guy because they just closed down the sears that i bought my gearwrench's at.
