For those of you who don't check the clearance items on the U.S. Gedore web site from time to time here are some of the items I just bought and the prices for them. Pretty reasonable. They have a lot of stuff on clearance. I talked to a guy there named Earl and he said they have a **** load of hammers they are looking to get rid off.
The sockets, wrenches, extensions and locking pliers are discounted about %70 to 75% but they are type NC which means they are electroplated with "Corostop" for marine applications. The NC type coating is about 20% more expensive than standard Ni CR. No shiny chrome here if that's what you want. I personally like the look but some may not. Gedore claims this coating is up to %500 more protective than their standard nickel chrome coating. All wrenches and sockets made in Germany. The pliers in Austria.
The hammers are all rebadged Nupla. Made here in the U.S. I compared prices between the hammers on clearance and the original Nuplas on Amazon and the rebadged Gedore ones were cheaper.
The litle Corolus 1/4" drive socket set isn't very good. Would not recommend. The ratcheting mechanism is very coarse.
The torque wrench was $95. Has dual scales in ft/lbs and Nm. Goes up to 110 ft/lbs. Pretty sweet lil thing and well made.
