Is this gedore actually good tools? I was buying big sockets in singles from princess auto years ago for a few bucks a piece, still have them and they are still holding up well.

The German made tools are good. There was a crop showed up in Canada in the late 70's that were made in India and were total ****.

I certainly never managed to break any Gedore tools, and with them now at around 50 years old they are still holding up well

Just checked and my Gedore tools are German and from the 1970s my fathers are all Gordon tools made in Sheffield England from the early 1960s

Gedore tools are really great. Most of my tools are Gedore. We do not have as big a choise in brands as in the USA. Big brand tools are really stupid expensive here.

That's why most of my stuff is gedore and my new stuff is Midas tools. That is one of the biggest spares retailers in the country. They now have their own brand of tools. Priced very good, good quality with a lifetime guarantee.

Just went to the garage, turns out I only have 3 gedore sockets all above 20mm, and they are stamped brasil.

Gedore is mostly very good quality, but I have an India wrench that is ****, a brazil made 3/4 ratchet that is not too impressive and have broken a 3/4 to 1/2 adapter.
