I have Gedore 1993 U-20 and I love it! Very smooth, strong, 72 teeth in compact head.

The U-20 has 60 tooth and 6 degree angle when the u-10 has 11 degree angle (32 tooth?).

The mechanism is different. That's make the u-10 wider in the head but also smoother.

The U-20 is really very smooth but the U-10 is even more.

In U-10, when the direction level is in the middle position both directions are locked. It's engaged for clockwise and counterclockwise operation. Look the pic.

All components are metallic in both of them.

I have the U-20 but I like the u-10 equally.

Is either one more durable, have you had any problems with either of them

What pros and cons do these ratchets have, and which one do you prefer?

I prefer U-20 because it has more teeth. I like the U-10 because it is smoother and the locking position helps some times.

The mechanism of U-20 looks more durable to me but I really don't know if that is true.

The head of U-10 is a little wider cause of the different mechanism but it still remain perfect choice for general use.
