My friend recently found this sliding jaw adj. wrench and gave it to me. Interesting design. Still works great. Thought I'd share.

I like it. Do you just swivel the jaw to adjust it? Looks to be a spring that keeps it back in place?

You just slide (slight pressure with one finger) it down to the size you want, then push out with your thumb to release and adjust upwards.

Very cool indeed. It still amazes me to see some of the different designs that they came up with back in the day. Most of the time when I see an "innovative" design in a store, I will see something similar later on that is 50+ years old.

That is a really cool design. Never seen one of those before... somehow, I get teh feeling that now some company will see this and try to market it as a new design just in time for teh holidays. :lol:

as your very own patent office said everythign has already been invented, or somethign along those lines...

There was a bloke handling an adjustable, it had been red painted but most was off it, this morning at a car boot sale.
I watched as he bought it and buggered off.
Damn.

Same here. Perhaps "Polly" will get reissued with "laser guide technology for tight and accurate adjustment" or a glow in the dark "safety" feature.
