Gem or junk? Yard sale find

I found this in a container of parts that came along with a purchase at a yard sale. Looking at images on the web it seems I have the makings of a nice little double square if I can find a blade. Anyone want to take a shot at who made this? There are no markings that I can see. I see a Starrett #13 that looks very close but that might be wishful thinking.

A good rule will be more difficult to find than the stock, since they're more fragile, but they're out there.

It does look starrett, for what that is worth. I'll bet that nearly any rule from a combination square of the appropriate size will work. Other than a few old Stanleys that had a slot, rather than a groove, it is usually the same mechanism no matter who made it.

Thanks for the input. It does look like a Starrett (thanks for the pics) and I tried a blade from an Empire and a USA made brand at OSH, but they don't fit. I will watch eBay for a blade and see if one comes my way.

The blade is a B4-4R I found it on ebay for $42 and $37 at some of the tool vendors. Do your shopping wisely.

Happy ending. I found a NOS(?) blade on eBay. Fits like a glove and now I have a nice little square. It was a fun process, finding the body and looking for the blade to make it whole.

Thanks. It has a nice little corner waiting for it in the Kennedy 520 I picked up this summer. I have a feeling this could get out hand (in a good way) real quick like.
