Hi all. I have a Craftsman-Seeley DP with a Gen 1 (pointy A in Craftsman) badge. I have restored this DP (with a big ahout-out to Jim @ FrankLee). The only thing left is to repaint the badge.

Previous owner painted over the entire badge with a very difficult to remove green paint. To get it off, I had to remove all of the red and (blue or black?) original paint.
Does anybody have any ideas on how to repaint? The word CRAFTSMAN is indented, but the GUARANTEED HIGHEST QUALITY... is raised and unpainted. I don't know how to get that red (maroon?) background field filled in without messing up the unpainted words. Filling in the CRAFTSMAN depressed area is not easy, either.
Any suggestions for true colors and how to do it?

Thanks.
Joe

If you search, uh, something... I don't recall who was doing it, but someone a few years ago documented the process of reproducing old boiler plates using transfer paper, iirc.
