General anti-skid question

I had rust bullet in my last garage and I'm about to do the same in my new garage. Last time I didn't have to worry about anti-skid because the floor was in poor shape, but this slab is in much better shape. Feels like putting down RB without antiskid would be suicidal.

I've never, to my knowledge, had first-hand experience with anti-skid of this type. Does it make the floor feel gritty? If I pull a jack across it will it be the loudest thing ever? or is it much more subtle than that?

I wish I could give you an answer. I'm two coats into a Rust Bullet install on virgin concrete.

New home build, CSP of 1. Put down first coat of plain in the afternoon. Second coat put down with 6oz in of anti-skid in 3.5 gallons of RB. I have 2.5 gallons left for a 600sqft floor. Since I have so much left might as well get that third coat on.

I'll chime in in a few days after it cures. Felt safe after coat 1, but I'm sure when wet, it would have been deadly without an additive.

Picture is of the second coat application.

Thanks! Are you going with a clear coat on top of that? I didn't do clear on my first garage but it seems the wisdom has shifted since then.

Did not end up doing that third coat. I have a few rollers marks that might drive me crazy later but after feeling the floor with bare feet after the second coat with anti-skid mixed in, I decided the floor would would be too much like coarse sandpaper. So I left it with just the two coats without clear.

Gave it 6 days to be safe before putting hot tires on there. I've been pretty gentle so far moving stuff around. Looks good and I am pretty confident it will hold up well.
