Hey, why so defensive, relax! My way of saying that I've been in the Army and involved with maintenance for 30 years and have seen a case or two of soldiers and civilians selling government property, wouldn't be the first time.

So you are saying that my M60, M16 and the case of M26 could be stolen?? Say it ain't so

This seems to be built much much sturdier than the pelican-made snap on GMTK of years past. (not the normal green kipper/SK kits)

I like the larger wheels shown and the slide out "drawers" as opposed to older kits which were simply a box stacked full of foam trays. If you needed to get out tray #5 that means removing the 4 on top of it.

Id rather have the M7 FRS though...

The most recent version my unit purchased is all snap-on....each tool also has a matching serial number.

Can someone post clear legible photos of the tool list on the top lid.

There were several versions of the GMTK. Three or four versions were in the green plastic case and the majority of the tools were SK. These are the versions I'm looking for. If it has Armstrong tools then that is not the version I need. Thanks all.

I own an armstrong kit and a tan cased kippertools set. Would the tan one work for you?

I can see the value in a box like that for a mobile mechanic. But that box looks friggin heavy. I'd hate to carry it even a short distance. I'm thinking you'd keep the big box in your truck, and also carry a smaller, empty tool box. Then depending on the job, you'd transfer just the tools you need from the big box to the smaller, portable box.

The pelican case has wheels, an extra set of wheels and an extendable handle so, you can wheel it around like luggage. Most versions of the GMTK have a smaller black zippered nylon tool bag in the top lid of the set to do what you suggest.

My only surprise is that some of these newer tools didn't feature fluorescent colors. I know technicians would have to check the tool kits before and after their shifts but making something real visible would minimize danger of FOD.
