well it's been about 5 or 6 weeks since the weather broke, it's time for landscape improvements, and the obligatory "honey do" list.
i think i'm nearly complete....
finally got around to putting up a shed to store my brand, spanking, new riding mower, and to get yard type stuff outta the garage. had to move a lot of previous plantings, level off an area, build a "deck" out of pressure treated lumber, and assemble the shed.
removed a bunch of cracked concrete that i cut up last spring, (many thanks to my stepdaughter and a friend) and lay in some new pavers
installed some lighting on the brick face of the garage, dusk to dawn LED's, and ran all the electrical.
painted the exterior of the garage a more neutral tan, (it was a dark reddish brown)
set PT posts in concrete, installed some galvanized tin and camo on them to make a privacy screen so SWMBO doesnt have to see the neighbors "junkyard" along with all new patio furniture, umbrella cut down our old DIY outdoor table to "coffee table" height, and rustic galvanized and wood planters.
last week a company contacted the wife through her decorating blog about building and featuring a water feature for the back yard, ( they provided the pump, and are paying her for the build), all the fab work, and electrical is sorted out, just waiting on her final decorative touches.
finally late afternoon on memorial day, i got to put my feet up, have a couple ( or 6) beers...
