Is there good general wax that doesnt have a chemical smell to it? Just for general use to drive screws, protect blades, metal tops, less used tools, etc...

Its too bad toiletwax rings arent pure beeswax...

In my woodworking shop I've always relied on Johnson's paste wax for just about everything, from installing screws into hardwood, to a simple finish for wood in general, to waxing my drawers and coating the cast iron machine tool surfaces.
There is a mild odor at first but after it has dried and been buffed off I've had no problems. I always keep a can around for all my needs. Candle or canning paraffin will also work.

2nd on Johnson's paste wax in the yellow can. I have 3-4 cans sitting around in different areas of the shop. Makes a handsaw a pleasure to use. Makes a handplane slippery. Great for wood on wood drawer runners. Makes wood slide on jointers and tablesaws.
