I have a Honda diesel 12kVA generator I want to sell but I have no idea how to price it. I was given to me. Low hours, kept inside most of its life, and operates as its supposed to. I recently serviced it but all it needs is a battery. What would you value it at? I plan on putting it on Craigslist.

It was $10000 new. You should be able to ask whatever you want for it but industrial generators are really tough to sell privately. Yor best bet is to find an equipment dealer that can sell it for you.

That's a single phase generator. There's nothing industrial about it, not even the noise output (72dB is pretty darned good). That would be an excellent whole house generator.

I'd buy it from you if you were closer to where I live... they go for around 5-6k around here...

I've only ever used it to run my plasma cutter. Its a very nice generator for sure. I'll call a couple of places around here and see if someone will take it off my hands at a fair price.
