I have a Miller Bobcat 250 welder/generator 10,500 watt mounted on my work truck. I have a manual transfer switch and panel for the house plug the cord into the truck throw the switch and run the circuits I want. My shop has it's own 200 amp service with the meter and service disconnect on the outside and a standard panel on the inside. The generator will easily cover the entire shop's needs. What are my options for running the whole shop from the exterior (I don't have room on the inside for another panel) The welder has a standard Four prong outlet. Thanks for the input. Travis

Does the panel inside the shop have a main breaker? or is it a main lug panel? If it is a main lug, and depending on the outside service disconnect, then you may be able to get a main breaker kit for the panel in the shop and add it, and a generator inlet breaker and interlock.

Pics of your current disconnect outside (door open so we can see the main breaker in it) and of you panel in the shop will help.

Interlock is what I need! Never seen such a beast. Ordered everything last night. Thanks for the info!

One thing about a shop. Turn off what you don't need to manage load. I have a big well, bad for this but its easy to take things for granted if you have a lot of equipment. A welder has a lot of poop but 10K isn't unlmitd, its kind of in a mid range and pricey to run to keep a few lights on and not enough to keep it all running seamlessly.
I am going to get a couple small sets and hook my truck to the well pressure switch. I have a big tank we can run a long time but then again its convenient not to have to interrupt dailies in the evnt of an outage.

Shops not that big. 10.5 will easily run the lights, welder, and grinders. Well is on the house panel. Didn't mean to imply the interlock was a big beast just had never heard of them. Wish I would have done an interlock instead of transfer switch in the house. The ability to run everything at different times would be a positive.
